En collaboration avec ses partenaires stratégiques, SHS/Dakar focalisera essentiellement son action sur le renforcement des capacités de ses 7 Etats membres pour l'élaboration de politiques participatives fondées sur la production de nouvelles connaissances, promouvant les meilleures pratiques et soutenant des programmes nationaux axés sur l'égalité des genres, l'inclusion de la jeunesse, le bien-être et la culture de la paix. La nouvelle stratégie s'articulera ainsi autour de 2 axes programmatiques globaux qui rassembleront un ensemble d'activités ayant pour priorité thématique la jeunesse et l'égalité des genres : 1) le renforcement de l'aide à la décision politique pour une Afrique émergente et 2) les routes du dialogue et de la paix en Afrique.
