Project ID 513RER4003

The project aims to collect and create georeferenced maps for World Heritage in Europe and North America as a pilot region. This data will be uploaded on a newly developed online map platform, which will be embedded on the website of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre. Users will be able to access, visualize and analyze multiple layers of information related to World Heritage property boundaries and buffer zones. The platform will facilitate identifying factors affecting the Outstanding Universal Value of World Heritage properties and will assist States Parties to better protect properties on their territory.
