The project's goal is to expand and strengthen UNESCO's role in Brazil in order to support national initiatives and priorities set out in the National Education Plan and the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in particular the Goal 4, which has 10 targets encompassing many different aspects of education. The Umbrella Cooperation Agreement is a very valuable instrument for UNESCO to strengthen a strategic partnership with the Ministry of Education, especially because it is directly coordinated by the Minister's Executive Office and the Executive Secretary.
