Partnerships and Cooperation for water

Which conclusions do we need to bring back from the UN Water Conference 2023 to not fail the achievement of the SDG 6? How can we effectively implement the Water Action Agenda 2030? Cooperation and partnership have been identified as strategic drivers to deliver innovative and transformative solutions towards a more sustainable water management.

With these questions in mind,  MEP Water Group, the focal point for the water topic in the European Parliament, invited UNESCO World Water Assessment Programme to present this year’s edition of the UN World Water Development Report on “Partnerships and Cooperation for Water”.

The event aimed at exploring cooperative solutions to tackle water-related global challenges, stressing the need to put in place a resilient and inclusive water system to achieve a Water-Smart Society in Europe and beyond.  The panel, composed by water experts, not only from Europe, offered effective solutions for implementing a cooperative strategy on water bringing examples of fruitful partnerships and cooperation among different stakeholders.
