Project ID 2210255011

A strong foundation in the basic sciences is key to attracting young pupils to the scientific field and promoting sustainable development within Caribbean SIDS. This Activityseeks to develop research and training capacities in the basic sciences to enable the emergence of a critical mass of scientists in the region. To this end, tertiary institutions, including the University of West Indies, must make use of hands-on methodologies and mobile-size laboratories to practice science experiments in disadvantaged areas. The Activity will improve the basic sciences ecosystem, taking into consideration the gender aspects, in Caribbean SIDS, through developing the transition from school to laboratories and from laboratories to society.
