Countries in Southern Africa face major challenges in recovering forward better from the COVID-19 pandemic and related mitigation measures, as well as from the preexisting social inequalities and exclusion, including xenophobia and racism, disproportionately affecting the most vulnerable (including persons with disabilities, women and girls, youth, and minorities). ROSA will focus on (i) Advancing the Anti-racism and Anti-discrimination Agenda as a way to ensure social inclusion, and promote regional integration; (ii) Influencing the policy Agendas and providing policy advice on Disability inclusion and rights; and (iii) lead the Regional and National Offices in partnership building and resource mobilization around Joint Flagship Programmes, including with the UN agencies and UNCTs.
