Lebanon has a rich cultural heritage with five sites registered on the UNESCO's World Heritage List : Anjar, Baalbek ,Byblos ,Qadisha valley and Tyre in addition to 10 sites on the tentative list. Uncontrolled breaches, undertaken mostly by the local population that have increased recently, might affect negatively the authenticity and integrity of the WH sites .Efforts shall mainly go to undertake awareness raising activities for the schools of the WH sites region based on the World Heritage Education Programme that facilitate the greater involvement of young people, including women, their empowerment and inclusion which will contribute to World Heritage conservation of these sites.
