For the biennium 2022-2023, CLT/NDL proposes a sub-regional level capacity-building activities that aim to reinforce site management responses and conservation to global challenges, such as urban development, climate change, tourism impacts and Sustainable Development. This proposed sub-regional conference will also be a timely one, as 2022 will mark the 50th anniversary of the WH Convention, hence an excellent occasion to revisit the achievements of each NDL cluster member states have made, but also to brainstorm the future of WH in the Sub-region. A special attention will be given to Bhutan and the Maldives as they are yet to inscribe their first WH site.
