Project ID 221INT2001

ICGEB and TWAS plan to implement new mobility programmes for young scientists from LDCs, on the basis of 1) TWAS strong track record with capacity building programmes in developing countries, 2) ICGEB scientific excellence. The new programmes will allow transfer of skills which is an essential component of capacity building. Exchange visits offer a tremendous opportunity for young, early-career researchers to learn from more experienced scientists who have an established competence in their field. In addition, they also enable them to form potentially long-lasting collaborative links, which can be used to establish and carry forward interdisciplinary projects.
