The overall purpose of this project is to strengthen the conservation of the UNESCO marine World Heritage sites in a changing climate. The project has 2 main objectives: - Strengthen south-south cooperation across marine World Heritage sites in South Africa, Mauritania, Seychelles, Yemen and Sudan to improve conservation of the sites' Outstanding Universal Value while leveraging the status for jobs and income generation. -Improve capacity of the World Heritage Marine Programme through the provision of technical support to the evaluation and monitoring of World Heritage marine sites that are subject to review by the World Heritage Committee.
