COVID-19 affected education in Palestine as teachers and students moved to online teaching and learning and youth lost job opportunities. It is important to mitigate the impact on education and human resource development by providing digital and transversal skills for sustainable development through distance education platforms and TVET. UNESCO's project will target 300 of the most vulnerable and most affected schools in the West Bank and Gaza Strip during its pilot phase. This will ensure MoE will be capable of developing and uploading online lessons to all grades in Palestine and providing training in soft and digital skills for TVET students in different areas such as WBL.
