Project ID 2210225051

2022 symbolizes half of the period foreseen for the achievement of the SDGs under the 2030 Agenda. Brazil still has immense challenges for the achievement of the SDG 6 on water and sanitation. The high and growing rates of urbanization and unplanned concentration of people in cities put water security at risk, which, with the effects of global warming, tends to aggravate. By this RP element, UNESCO will advance the Megacities Alliance for Water and Climate (MAWAC), foster proper representation of COBRAPHI in the CONAPHI's biannual meeting, publish and launch the 2022 World Water Development Report, support the water components of Amazon Regional Observatory, and implement an ecohydrology demonstrative site in Brazil.
