The project aims to advance gender equality by reducing the gender gaps in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education and careers. It aims to increase girls' and women's participation and achievement in STEM education, and strengthen national capacities to provide quality gender-responsive STEM education. In line with UNESCO's Priority Africa, the project seeks to involve 5 participating countries from Anglophone Africa. The project takes a regional approach, which aims for South-South learning and cooperation, and will also engage the African Union.
