The IOC will fulfill its commitment to be custodian for two SDG 14 indicators, 14.3.1 focusing on ocean acidification and 14.a.1 on scientific cooperation/investment. In order to meet the increased demand by decision-makers and society at large for current and easily accessible information on the state of the ocean, as well as to contribute to the UN Ocean Decade, the IOC will prepare a pilot 'State of the Ocean Report' (StOR).
