UNESCO OREALC in Santiago proposes to support LAC Member States to develop and implement equitable and evidence-based policies and strategies on skills development, with particular focus on those related to TVET and HED. Attention will also be given to improving the quality and relevance of TVET, ALE and YAL programmes with emphasis on teaching and learning components (e.g. TVET trainers, ALE educators), and to supporting learning of youth and adult migrants with relevant skills development. Support to Member States will be provided through improved evidence and knowledge, policy advice and dialogue, as well as technical assistance.
