This 2-year project will advance education to prevent and counter antisemitism through education in Europe through a dual focus on capacity building and research: - UNESCO will implement capacity building in cooperation with Ministries of Education, including policymakers responsible for teacher training, tolerance and non-discrimination issues. - UNESCO and research partners will produce new knowledge about the (1) status of textbooks to address antisemitism in Europe, (2) about teacher preparedness to address antisemitism in Europe; and (3) about effective pedagogies and activities to address antisemitism.
