N° du projet 2210514042

Since the adoption of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention in 1972, the concept of managing a heritage site has evolved drastically. From isolated monuments and archaeological sites, the World Heritage List and the Tentative List today have increased the number of living cities and cultural landscapes with human settlements/activities within. This calls for a more holistic, multi-disciplinary approach for heritage management such as DRR and community livelihood. However, not many heritage sites in Southeast Asia are equipped to handle such new requirements. In continuation of 40C5, UNESCO Jakarta will continue developing multi-disciplinary pilot projects for demonstration.
