Project ID 2210534041

The need to continue implementing this Convention in Afghanistan, through the sustainable protection of cultural heritage to prevent armed conflict and in post-conflict situations, is a reality. Building on its network of national experts and several capacity-building initiatives conducted in previous years, the project will look at documenting and assessing the state of conservation of cultural heritage sites that are of national, regional, or local significance. A gender-balanced focused approach will be utilized when and wherever possible, engaging female members of the community in the assessment of heritage sites.
