The project will identify the needs and main barriers of persons with disabilities when accessing information. UNESCO will build the capacities of the Ministry of Information to be able to respond to the information needs of persons with disabilities; and will equip persons with disabilities with MIL competencies to enable them to better articulate their information needs and maximize the potential of media and new technologies to strengthen their civic participation. The project is part of the UN Joint initiative "Accelerating Disability Rights in Cambodia", co-implemented by UNESCO, UNDP and OHCHR, with funding from the UNPRPD Disability Fund.
