The project proposes a series of activities to build capacity and raise awareness for underwater cultural heritage research in Africa. UNESCO foresees three main activities: (i) Introductory Regional Training on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage in Malindi, Kenya (ii) Advanced Regional Training on the Protection of the Underwater Cultural Heritage in Malindi, Kenya (iii) Creation of a capacity-building video on the techniques and methodology for the conservation and protection of Underwater Cultural Heritage as well as of a short informative video on the activities for the public
