The project aims at building capacity of stakeholders at the local and national level on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage. It will focus on building capacity for undertaking a pilot community-based inventory exercise developing a contextualised methodology and equipping community members and other government officials with the needed skills for the task. There will be creation of local committees in different zones/regions in the country to serve as a technical team for community-based inventorying in order to increase awareness and active participation of communities in safeguarding their living heritage.
