By a letter dated 13 June 2023, 65 Member States requested that thé GénéralConférence convene in extraordinary session to consider thé following item:"Financial matters related to thé return of thé United States of America to théOrganization as a Member State, as per thé letter of thé United States of Americapresented to thé Member States by thé Director-General of UNESCO on 12 June2023".
