Project ID 2210184042

In Central Asia, challenges in digital literacy and skills have made the implementation of online education particularly difficult in rural and remote areas, accompanied by low availability and affordability of infrastructure and connectivity, limited capacity of rural teachers in conducting effective online learning, lack of available and accessible quality online content in national and minority languages, and limited flexibility and agility of national education systems. UNESCO Almaty will provide support to strengthening the national capacities in planning technology-enabled education systems, developing digital competencies for teachers and learners and fostering technology-enhanced pedagogies through the development of digital content.
