Gender-related UNESCO Chairs and UNITWIN Networks

Since the designation of Gender Equality as a Global Priority in 2007, UNESCO has significantly increased its number of Chairs on Gender Equality. These Chairs, from all over the world, carry out research, technical assistance, capacity building and advocacy regarding gender-related matters: youth, gender-based violence, education of girls and women, including comprehensive sexuality education and STEAM education, communication, human rights, democracy, women’s political and economic participation and activism, urban planning and climate change.
