This initiative aims to assist the Biosphere Reserves (BR) in Latin America and in Senegal that are currently included in the MAB Excellence Strategy . To support the sites, each BR will go through an assessment that will analyse the technical (zonation, biophysical, cultural and socioeconomic), administrative and management characteristics, which will allow the identification of gaps and needs. The following BR will be covered by this project: Pilon Lajas; Ulla Ulla, Beni, Yasuní, Maya; Rio Plátano, Bosawas, Rio San Juan and Samba Dia.
