The right to quality education is firmly rooted in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted 75 years ago, and other international legal instruments. Yet millions of children, youth and adults are still deprived of this fundamental human right which is essential to lift people out of poverty, level inequalities and ensure sustainable development.
