Master Class against racism and discrimination
UNESCO Hosted in March 2023 a global edition of its Master Class Series against Racism and Discriminations.
This has become a privileged space to empower young women and men to become anti-racism champions in their schools and communities. Around the world, graduates of this Series, have designed and implemented their own local projects and inspired their peers to engage in this important cause.
Keynote address by Maria Ressa at the UNESCO Global Conference "Internet for Trust"
Maria Ressa is co-founder and CEO of Rappler. In October 2021, she was one of two journalists awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. She was also awarded the UNESCO/Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize in 2021.
UNESCO is hosting in Paris the “Internet for Trust” conference to discuss a set of draft global guidelines for regulating digital platforms, to improve the reliability of information and protect freedom of expression and human rights.

Edgar Morin celebrates his centenary at UNESCO
July 8, 2021 marked the 100th birthday of Edgar Morin. To celebrate the influence of his thought, UNESCO paid tribute to his work of intellectual resistance through a day that allowed the philosopher, accompanied by his "companions of thought", to evoke the legacy he wishes to leave behind.
