Project ID 549IRQ4002

This project was prepared as a response to Covid-19 and its socio-economic impact in Iraq. The overall objective of this project is to contribute to economic recovery as well as to social cohesion through creation of decent jobs in re-construction of historical urban centres of Mosul and Basra as well as support to Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) active in various sectors and the cultural and creative industries through a financing mechanism. It will build up on the ongoing activities in both cities implemented by UNESCO and IOM in order to provide a quick response to the pandemic and ensure immediate impact on local economies.
