Vietnam has been facing with many challenges in water security and natural disaster management, and climate change moreover intensifies these existing water problems. The activity fosters science, innovation, and education for addressing and responding to water security challenges, accelerating Vietnam's transition to sustainable development, as a contribution to the IHP IX Strategic Plan (2022-2029). The activity outcome contributes directly to SDGs 4, 6, 13 and also to the implementation of international water and climate change-related agendas and One UN Strategic Framework for Sustainable Development Cooperation in Vietnam 2022-2026. This activity will be a seeding for mobilizing resources, from concerned governments, foundations and private sectors etc.
