BES-Net II (2020-2028) aims to formalize the scientists-policymakers-practitioners partnership and strengthen synergy and complementarity in their BES-related decisions, actions and subsequent impacts in target countries. UNESCO is tasked with enhancing connections between policy, science and indigenous and local knowledge within BES-Net II activities, for improved outcomes for biodiversity and indigenous peoples and local communities.
