Terrorism and criminal violence have continued to ravage communities in North-East Nigeria. According to the World Bank, the violent attacks carried out by Boko Haram since 2009 have left deep scars for the 15 million people in the region. Children and women constitute 58.3 percent and 54 percent respectively, of the 2.4 million people displaced as a result of the Boko Haram crisis (United Nations, 2020). The overall objective of the project is to contribute to deradicalization and support peacebuilding in northeast Nigeria through education, economic empowerment and improved community-based efforts.
