Project ID 526GLO2005

The project aims to support UNESCO Member States by establishing local strategies that contribute to preserving biological diversity, advancing sustainable development and climate change adaptation, and promoting biosphere reserves as tools to bring added value to local socio-economic activities on island and coastal biosphere reserves. It aims to provide a substantial contribution to these efforts by developing integrated strategies for the preservation of biodiversity in island and coastal ecosystems, with particular emphasis on developing countries, especially Small Islands Development States.
