Virtual event - 17:00-18:30 Paris / 11:00- 12:30 Santiago de Chile
The Global Education Monitoring Report, SUMMA and OREALC/UNESCO Santiago are inviting to the launch event in Latin America of the policy paper "Don't look away: no place for exclusion of LGTBI students " prepared by the GEM Report and IGLYO. The document seeks to place students at the center of efforts to prevent exclusion on the basis of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression and variations of sexual characteristics and to advocate for strengthening the capacity of the education system to monitor bullying and violence against LGBTQI students.
The launch event for the policy paper in Spanish will feature a brief presentation of the paper's key findings by the director of the GEM Report followed by a panel discussion where experts, activists and members of the LGTBI community will discuss how to advance LGBTI student inclusion in Latin America.
The event will be held in Spanish and will be streamed live on the OREALC/UNESCO Santiago YouTube channel.
