The conferences organized under the Dushanbe Water Process provide a platform for policy dialogue, partnership and action to operationalize the Water Action Agenda and accelerate the achievement of the goals of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
They are an opportunity to share a thorough assessment of the implementation of the Water Action Agenda, share best practices and innovative solutions, raise awareness and mobilize political will.
These biennial conferences are organized by the Republic of Tajikistan in cooperation with the United Nations in order to facilitate the implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development” (2018-2028). UNESCO is closely involved and is a member of the International Advisory Committee of the Conference.
