Ms. Vanecia Mungapen is a Cultural Heritage Professional holding a Masters in International Heritage Management from the University of Birmingham, UK. She has more than 19 years of experience in the inventorying and safeguarding of intangible cultural heritage at national level. She participated in the preparation and elaboration of four UNESCO ICH nomination files for the Republic of Mauritius. She worked on the preparation of Periodic Reports for the Convention for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage. She is currently a Heritage Technical Officer/ Ag. Research/ Heritage Officer responsible for the ICH at the National Heritage Fund in Mauritius.
