UNESCO Mobilizes $44.5 Million to Boost Education in Cameroon
UNESCO has secured $44.5 million to improve education in Cameroon, focusing on modernizing curricula and training over 28,000 education professionals. The initiative includes the provision of 4 million textbooks and school meals for disadvantaged children. This effort is part of the Global Partnership for Education, reinforcing UNESCO's commitment to supporting education across Africa. Additionally, the Yaoundé Distance Education Centre will host EDUCA-TV, a 24/7 educational channel aimed at remote learners.
