CARIBBEAN

The Caribbean Sea, lying to the north of the equator, is surrounded on its western border by Central American countries, and on its southern boundary by Colombia and Venezuela. Two chains of small islands separate it from the Atlantic Ocean to the east, and a chain of larger islands lie between it and the Gulf of Mexico to the north. Small Islands Voice activities have started in a number of the smaller islands. There are many international, regional and national governmental and non-governmental agencies operating in the region in the fields of communications, environment and development.

Click on the map to view the Caribbean Islands (Islands named in red are conducting Small Islands Voice activities on-the-ground).
