UNESCO and Sustainable Development Goals
Heads of State, Government leaders, UN High Level Representatives and civil society are meeting in New York from 25 to 27 September, at the 70th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, for the historic adoption of new Sustainable Development Goals. - protecting cultural heritage and fighting against the illicit trafficking of cultural objects,
- solving the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) education crisis that the world faces today,
- investing in youth and access to quality education to counter violent extremism,
- the role of freedom of expression and access to information and knowledge in sustainable development, and
- gender equality and the empowerment of women for sustainable development and lasting peace
