Mr. Zahid Majeed is working as Assistant Professor in the department of Special Education of Allama Iqbal Open University since last 12 years. He did his M.Phil from UK, Holland and Czech Republic in Inclusive Education. He is author of 02 books and more than 20 research articles. He is promoting inclusive education through Open and Distance Learning in Pakistan as well as in AAOU. He is known as project specialist and has been involved with UNESCO, UNICEF, World Bank, Commonwealth Of Learning, Higher Education Commission, Pakistan and number of National and International organizations. Also participated more than 50 national and international conferences and presented research papers mostly on Open and Distance Learning. He has developed a Model "Empowering People with Disabilities through Open and Distance Learning”. Basically he is a teacher trainer and developed more than 15 training manuals for the training of university/college/school teachers. Mr. Zahid Majeed is a key person to start Open Schooling in AIOU and Pakistan. Today he will share his experience and practices of Open and Distance Learning as Inclusive Education for People with Disabilities.

Dr Uma Tuli is the founder of Amar Jyoti Charitable Trust rendering rehabilitative services at Delhi and Gwalior with the holistic approach of providing integrated education, vocational training, medical care and self-employment in one premises. The schools run by Amar Jyoti have an equal number of children with and without disability studying together. The intellectually challenged are socially integrated in the same premises as per their special needs. The Trust also runs a number of Vocational Skills courses.

Dr Susan Moisey is the Program Director and Associate Professor at Centre for Distance Education in Athabasca University. Dr Moisey has been involved in distance education since the 1970s and is currently a faculty member with the Centre for Distance Education and the Director of the M.Ed. (Distance Education) program at Athabasca University. She teaches online courses in instructional design in the masters and doctoral programs and oversees e-portfolio development for about-to-graduate masters students.
Ms Sugandha Sukrutaraj is a Founder of Founded AMBA. Ms Sukrutraj is economically empowering adults with moderate and severe intellectual disabilities through her pioneering visual and functional learning curriculum. Sugandha’s exclusive curriculum for the community enables them to do specific low-skill IT jobs and is most effective when tutored by peers. Through the AMBA Centers for the Economic Empowerment of the Intellectually Challenged (CEEICs), she integrates them into the mainstream and gives them a sense of purpose.
Prof Sudesh Mukhopadhyay is the Chairperson Rehabilitation Council of India. She superannuated in March 2011 as Head, Department of Inclusive Education in NUEPA.
