Institutional Stakeholders
Apart from the United Nations proper, the major institutional stakeholders are the World Bank (WB), International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Trade Organization (WTO), UNCTAD and UNDP. These institutions actively participate in intergovernmental meetings on the implementation of the Monterrey Consensus and inter-secretariat projects on financing for development. In addition, each organization has considered issues relating to the Monterrey Consensus in its intergovernmental body.
Within the United Nations system, the regional commissions, ILO, IFAD and other agencies have also been actively addressing issues raised by the Monterrey Consensus.
A number of major regional and sub-regional intergovernmental bodies, such as the OECD and IPU, have notified the FfDO that they have put in place coordinated efforts to further the Monterrey Consensus.
