Economic Report on Africa 2016: "Greening Africa’s Industrialization" (UNECA, March 2016) 
This 2016 edition of the Economic Report on Africa presents the case for sustainable and people-centred green industrialization in Africa. Given the impacts of climate change, resource scarcities and environmental degradation, measures for greening Africa’s development are critical and can bring significant benefits. The form and pattern of Africa’s industrialization, shaped by its abundant natural resources, are discussed, alongside the reshaping of policy to tackle poverty and inequality. The report also explores the role of de-coupling energy and economic activity and the greening of value chains as a route to generate low-carbon growth in Africa. The African Union's Panel of the Wise: A Concise HIstory (African Union, 2016)
The African Union Panel of the Wise has, since its launch in December 2007,
become a key component of the African Peace and Security Architecture. Indeed, it is remarkable that in a mere eight years, the Panel has matured into a key conflict prevention and resolution instrument, contributing, through the sheer will and determination of its members, to strengthening the Union’s ability to better address the scourge of violence wherever it occurs on our continent. The inauguration of the third Panel of the Wise in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, during December 2014, comprising five new members of the highest calibre, integrity and experience, has renewed our belief in the continued relevance of this important component of the African Peace and Security Architecture.
MDGs Gap Task Force Report 2015: Taking Stock of the Global Partnership for Development (United Nations, September 2015)
This final report in a series that takes stock of recent achievements and gaps in the implementation of MDG 8. As has been reported throughout the monitoring process undertaken by the more than 30 organizations that comprise the Task Force, there have been significant positive developments pointing to an effective international effort to realize agreed targets during the MDGs period, but several deficits in international cooperation for development have continuously highlighted the need for a rejuvenation of the global partnership for development.
Economic Development in Africa Report 2015: "Unlocking the Potential of Africa´s Services Trade for Growth and Development" (UNCTAD, July 2015)
The 2015 edition discusses how services can contribute to sustainable growth and development continent-wide, especially given the enabling role of services and their capacity to link with other sectors. Africa needs to boost services trade and become better integrated in global value chains. The report makes specific and actionable policy recommendations on how to better leverage Africa’s services trade and the related development, employment and growth benefits. It also emphasises the need for greater policy coherence at the national, regional and international levels to address services sector and trade policy disconnects.
Millennium Development Goals Report 2015 (United Nations, July 2015)
The final assessment of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) shows that the MDGs produced the most successful anti-poverty movement in history. The 15-year effort to achieve the eight aspirational goals set out in the Millennium Declaration in 2000 was largely successful across the globe, yet despite many successes, the poorest and most vulnerable people are being left behind. The successes of the MDGs prove that global action works and will serve as a springboard for the new sustainable development agenda to be adopted later this year.

2015 Regional Overview of Food Insecurity - Africa (FAO, May 2015)
According to this report, which presents a brief snapshot of the progress that African countries are making to reduce undernourishment and malnutrition, African food security prospects are brighter than ever. The report also examines the key factors driving the progress made in food security in Africa and briefly discusses successful experiences of African countries to institute and sustain transformative policy, programmatic, institutional and governance processes which have contributed to improve nutritional and food security.
Agenda 2063 (African Union, Popular version, April 2015)
Agenda 2063 is both a vision and an action plan with eight pillars for the continent in the foreseeable future, which will be translated into concrete objectives, milestones, goals, targets and actions/measures. Agenda 2063 is a call for action to all segments of African society to work together to build a prosperous and united Africa based on shared values and a common destiny in view of accelerating the development and technological progress of the continent. Agenda 2063 is expected to be a source of inspiration for development of national and regional sustainable development plans.
Economic Report on Africa 2015: "Industrialization Through Trade" (UNECA, March 2015)
The 2015 report examines how trade can serve as an instrument of accelerated industrialization and structural transformation in Africa. It also explores the challenges and opportunities for Africa to industrialize through trade in the context of the rapidly changing regional and global economic environment. Ten country case studies were conducted to shed light on industrializing through trade. The findings from this exercise informed the policy recommendations contained in this report.

Inclusive Growth, an Imperative for African Africulture (AfDB, 2014)
Agriculture is key to inclusive growth, given its proven record of contributing to more robust reduction of poverty. It provides employment for about 60 percent of the economically active population, and 70 percent of the continent’s poorest communities. It also supports the livelihoods of 90 percent of Africa’s population. Further, Africa’s dependence on agriculture is stretching its ecological carrying capacity. Africa’s agriculture therefore needs a transformation to green agricultural practices that combine intensification of land productivity with environmental sustainability.

Common African Position on Post-2015 Development Agenda (January 2014)
The Common African Position is the result of regional and continental consultations conducted over the past two years. It recognizes that the post-2015 development agenda provides a unique opportunity for Africa to reach consensus on common challenges, priorities and aspirations, and to actively participate in the global debate. Africa's priorities are presented under six pillars: environmental sustainability, natural resources management and risk management of natural disasters; finance and partnership; human-centered development; peace and security; science, technology and innovation; and structural economic transformation and inclusive growth.

Africulture in Africa - Transformation and Outlook (NEPAD, November 2013)
Launched ahead of the 2014 Year of Agriculture in Africa, this report declares agriculture as a driver of economic transformation in Africa. Overall, on the continent, the agricultural sector has great potential to feed the growing African population feed itself, eliminating hunger and food insecurity, but also to help boost intra-Africa trade and investments, support industrialization and economic diversification, promote sustainable resource and environmental management, create jobs, human security and shared prosperity, and place Africa on global food markets.
Outcome Document of the Africa Regional Implementation Meeting for the Post-Rio+20 follow-up processes (UNECA, October 2013)
As a follow-up to the Rio+20 Outcome Document, the UNECA in collaboration with the AUC, the AfDB and the UNDESA organized the Africa Regional implementation meeting (Africa RIM) which was held from 31 October to 5 November 2013 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to deliberate on the main outcomes of Rio+20 and their implications for Africa. The experts and ministerial segments of the meetings aimed at enabling African countries to identify, articulate and reach consensus on the region’s sustainable development priorities and goals.
