Civil society
Civil Society has participated in and contributed to major international conferences on financing for development, such as the 2002 International Conference on Financing for Development in Monterrey, Mexico, and the 2008 Follow-up International Conference to Review the Implementation of the Monterrey Consensus in Doha, Qatar. Since 2002, civil society has remained engaged in the major events of the intergovernmental FfD follow-up process.
Accreditation
Non-governmental organizations in consultative status with ECOSOC, as well as those accredited to the Monterrey and Doha Conferences on Financing for Development or their follow-up processes are eligible to participate in FfD-related UN events.
