YabaTech Nigeria: Coca-Cola Bottle Competition 2016
Yaba College of Technology, School of Art, Design & Printing in collaboration with Nigeria Bottling Company Ltd organized the 2016 Coca Cola Bottle competition on 16th December 2016. The competition was opened to students and was an avenue to showcase the different TVET skills and talents. (more)

NBTE Centre of Excellence Activities, 2015
The NBTE Centre of Excellence in Nigeria carried out a series of activities last year ended 2015. The Centre hopes to consolidate and improve on this in 2016, God willing, especially, the area of greening polytechnic campuses, facilitating the training of assessors and verifiers for the National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ )and sensitizing polytechnics to Flexible and Blended skills Development (FSD/FaB). UNESCO’s International Institute for Educational Planning (IIPE) office in Dakar, Senegal, launched a regional platform for TVET experts in November. A two-day conference from 2 to 3 November in Dakar was attended by about a hundred TVET experts from the region. (more)

The Nigeria Vocational Association (NVA) is hosting her 23rd Annual International Conference for the first time in a Polytechnic from August 5-8, 2015 at the Multipurpose Hall, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos Nigeria This year's theme is Partnership in TVET for National Development.
Sub-themes include: TVET private sector partnership for national development, TVET workplace partnership, TVET, science and technology for national development, Creating and maintaining partnerships for entrepreneurship etc.

Students of Yaba College of Technology, Lagos Nigeria invent Lite-pop (solar public light)
A group of Yaba College of Technology students took part in the first Lagos Inventergy Challenge and invented what is called Lite-pop - a solar public light. The Lite-pop is an environmental solution kit which intends to solve city environmental issues like: Street Lightning, calculating the amount of humidity, temperature, sound, CO2, NO2 and Solar. Team Lite-pop participated in the 2014 Lagos State Inventergy Challenge and won 2nd position in the competition. The challenge is a platform designed to showcase innovative products and services within the energy sector in Lagos State towards the possible integration into the local economy. (more)

Mushroom Production Technology in Yaba College of Technology
The mushroom project in Yaba College of Technology was conceptualized in year 2008 and it is a project that seeks to cultivate edible and medicinal mushrooms, transfer the entrepreneurial skill to students and other interested persons and get them equipped to own their own farms and make money, create mushroom gene bank and carry out researches in the different aspects of mushroom utilization; medicine, food and nutriceuticals. The Lagos State Enterprise Day is an annual event which promotes networking of successful entrepreneurs with young aspiring entrepreneurs from the technical colleges in a one day open interactive forum while offering support for the promotion of Enterprise Education in Lagos State Technical and Vocational Education system. Water Hyacinth Project in YabaTech UNEVOC Centre
The Water Hyacinth Project in YabaTech was initiated by the Coordinator of YabaTech UNEVOC Centre, Dr (Mrs.) Funmi Doherty in 2012. She is mentoring students through her water hyacinth project, to turn the invasive plant into a money maker, training them on how to make different eco-friendly hand craft, biogas and animal feed from the plant. She teaches students on how to harvest the plant, dry it and weave into products that can be sold by the students. (more)

Chi Limited is known as the producer of packed drinks like Chivita juice, Caprisone, Hollandia milk. The team was received by Mr. Anuj Kumar Bhatia.
