Musicians from UNESCO Creative Cities Play Together at Hannover’s Fête de la Musique

Musicians from UNESCO Creative Cities Play Together at Hannover’s Fête de la Musique

When:
Wed, 06/21/2017

On 21 June, musicians from three Creative Cities of Music have met and performed at Fête de la Musique in Hannover, Germany.  An annual music festival celebrated by many countries around the world, Hannover has, this year, set up a “city of music stage” which featured not only local bands but also bands from other Creative Cities of Music, such as Dan Astles from Liverpool, Kolory from Katowice, and Subliminal Legacy from Idanha-a-Nova.

Besides performing at the festival, these bands have also had the opportunity to meet other bands from Hannover and from Hannover’s sister cities such as Rouen and Posen. In a “band mash up”, some of the bands have taken part in joint workshops and performed each other’s songs at the festival.
