Orders and security
New Customer/Login
If you have not yet opened an account, you will be instructed to register as a new customer after you have entered your e-mail address when you either select “Login” from the top menu bar or if you select “Create an Account” or "My Account". You only need to register once and then you can login with your password.
Selecting Publications
When you have identified a publication you would like to purchase, simply click on “Add to Cart”. You can select as many publications as you like for one order.
Shopping Cart
You can go to “Shopping Cart” at the top right hand corner of the screen whenever you would like to see what is in your shopping basket, then either continue with the purchase or return to the Bookshop. You will see the list of titles selected, and if necessary, you can modify the quantity of each title. You will initially see the single unit price but that will change to the total price if the quantity changes.
When you are satisfied that the information provided is correct then click on “Check Out". At this stage, you can fill in your billing and shipping information or change existing information in your account, as well as revise the list of publications to be purchased.
Online Payment
Once you have checked that the details are correct and your order is completed then click on “Confirm Order" and you will continue to the secure online payment site.
To pay online, click on the icon of the credit card you have selected (Visa or MasterCard). This is indicated by a pictogram at the lower left hand corner of the screen, indicating a closed padlock or a full key and sometimes a special message. You will then be requested to fill out a form, providing your credit card number and its expiry date.
We use one of the safest software payment systems that exists on Internet today: SSL (Secure Socket Layers). This technology encrypts and protects all of your personal information, including your name, address, and credit card number so that it cannot be read until it reaches our ordering management centre at IIEP’s bank, the Société Générale. Credit card details are not kept on our server.
Prices are quoted in EUROS. Your credit card will be debited in Euros at the bank rates applicable on the day of the transaction, as in all standard international credit card operations.
Prices quoted on this site are only valid for online sales, or purchase at the IIEP premises in Paris, France. Local sales prices are established by distributors and sales outlets according to their national practices, taxes, and currency regulations.
Order Confirmation
After your payment has been completed, please return to the shopping basket for the details of your order. We suggest that you print this page to save this information, as you will be unable to retrieve it subsequently. Also, you can print an official order receipt from this page for your records and administrative purposes.
The cost of shipping is systematically included in your order and is calculated depending on the country of destination. See details below.
Privacy
At IIEP, we are committed to protecting your privacy. We use the information we collect about you to process orders and to provide a more personalized shopping experience. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
When you place an order, we need to have your name, e-mail address, mailing address, and credit card details (number and expiry date). This allows us to process and fulfill your order and to notify you of its status.
When you sign up to receive information on new titles or to download certain software or plug-ins made available by us through our site, we only need an e-mail address.
We may also use the information we collect to occasionally notify you about important functionality changes to the Web site, new IIEP Publishing services and special offers we may deem to be of interest to you.
When you place orders, you are using a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you provide before it is sent to us and this information is then forwarded to IIEP’s bank, the Société Générale for processing. The details of your credit card are not stored on our server.
