From 11 to 17 November 2019, the Creative City of Gastronomy of Rasht hosts the Pumpkin Festival, an iconic event to explore the culinary traditions of the city through…pumpkins!

The festival, organized by the municipality of Rasht and its Cultural, Social and Sports Organization, showcases several types of pumpkin from different countries around the world, as well as local gastronomic products which use pumpkin as the main ingredient, as in the case of several Iranian traditional dishes.

International professional chefs, schools and food industries are involved in the festival with the objective to bridge traditional cuisine with creativity and entrepreneurship.

The main goal of the festival is to broaden opportunities for creators and professionals in the food sector by fostering innovative partnerships between industries, school and civil society, represented by the several local families and association taking part in the festival.
