Community radios advised to make their work visible for effective results Community radio stations have been called upon to ensure that their work is visible, coupled with good communication skills to get positive results.
UNESCO trains 24 community radio correspondents on designing and producing quality news UNESCO Dar es Salaam has organized a five days capacity building training for community radio correspondents to enable them design and produce quality news and programmes on issues of local concern.
UNESCO builds capacity of community radios’ scribes in journalism and ICT UNESCO Dar es Salaam has just concluded a capacity building of  community radios journalists on the use of ICT to enable them report issues of local concern and to provide access to relevant, culturally appropriate, gender responsive and accurate information to the hard-to-reach communities.

Students in the Internet School, part of the Digital Village in Ololosokwan, Ngorongoro The Digital Village in Ololosokwan, Ngorongoro District
UNESCO Dar es Salaam, in collaboration with Samsung Electronis, created the first Digital Village in Tanzania, in Ololosokwan, Ngorongoro district. This is a multidisciplinary ICT innovation programme coordinated by the UNESCO and supported by partners including Samsung Electronics, the Tanzanian Ministry of Health, and the Tanzanian Ministry of Education, with participants at national, regional and local levels.

UNESCO Dar es Salaam office has successfully implemented a project to support adolescent girls and young mothers who dropped out of school due to teenage pregnancies and early marriages.  The project was implemented from March 2012 to September 2015 and has benefited a total of 149 young mothers.
Kumba Dam Green Economy in Biosphere Reserves (GEBR): A Means to Poverty Reduction, Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development in Sub-Saharan Africa
The project is being implemented in East Usambara Biosphere Reserve (EUBR) located within Muheza, Korogwe and Mkinga Districts in Tanga Region. The main goal of the project is to conserve biodiversity, reduce poverty and contribute to sustainable development in sub-Saharan Africa, specifically in the United Republic of Tanzania through biodiversity businesses in Biosphere Reserves.
