Carrara Creative City Award: an International Forum for Young Sculptors

Carrara Creative City Award: an International Forum for Young Sculptors

When:
Sat, 09/21/2019

Carrara Creative City Award aims to give a concrete contribution to building a universal language by linking culture and education in order to foster a culture of peace through the arts. It offers young sculptors the opportunity to live a period of study and an authentic experience during which they can express their own creativity in an international competition aimed at spreading UNESCO values and principles.

The contest targets young sculptors and Fine Arts Academies’ students (sculptor section) from all over the world, aged between 18 and 35 years old.  A technical committee will then select 5 finalists who will take part in a workshop in a historic art and sculpture laboratory/studio of Carrara for a month in September 2019.

On Saturday 21 September 2019, the technical committee will bestow the prizes to the winning sculptural projects. The final ceremony will take place in Carrara.
