“Transforming Spaces” 2020, Nassau’ annual art exhibition goes virtual

When:
Sat, 11/14/2020 to Sun, 11/15/2020

Nassau (Bahamas), a UNESCO Creative City of Crafts and Folk Art since 2014 organized its annual art festival themed “Transforming Spaces”, virtually.

The innovative format provided an opportunity for an entertaining and sustainable way of experiencing, educating, and promoting the uniqueness of Bahamian art, culture, and heritage, both locally and internationally. The exhibition also emphasized on the importance and contribution of Nassau’s vibrant cultural scene in the country’s development, as well as an attractive incentive that the city offers to visitors to travel to the Bahamas.

35 Bahamian artists and students from local galleries, museums and cultural institutions, such as the National Art Gallery of the Bahamas and the D’Aquilar Art Foundation, participated in the first Virtual Art Tour “Transforming Spaces”. The virtual exhibition attracted more than 100 online viewers, from the country and abroad.
