The 774 Local Government of Nigeria has responsibilities on traditional matters.Each of the 36 states also has Council of Traditional rulers.

Through community participation and involvement of traditional rulers,document and preserve these traditional knowledge sytems that provide lessons on how to live in contemporary societies;

The kingship system in most Nigerian societies except for the eastern part of Nigeria dates back to centuries and survived the colonial and post colonial rule through communal obeisance and being the spiritual custodian of the vitality of the society.

Support cultural programmes that encourage the continuity of oral traditions,history and effective engagement of traditional institutions in the context of overall national development.
